Wall Cladding Installation Guide
Beside the main purpose of protecting the wall, wall cladding sheet is able to extend house’s lifespan and gives aesthetic pleasure.
With all exceptional features suitable with Viet Nam climate: completely resistance to water, dampness, insects, and lightweight, exceptional durability…., Picomat PVC Foam Board has been voluntarily chosen by customers as the wall cladding sheet.
In answer to consumers and interior manufacturers’ queries, Picomat will give a detailed instruction on wall cladding installation.
- Step 1: Prepare a skeleton frame system
There are 2 options to prepare a skeleton frame
1st option: A skeleton frame made from Picomat PVC Foam Board (10mm in thickness). Each rail is 40mm in width.
2nd option: An aluminum or zinc frame
Note: The timber frame is not recommended owing to its weak glue holding strength, exposure to insect attacks and moisture
- Step 2: Fixing the skeleton frame system
Use concrete screws to fasten and secure rails to wall allowing a 600 – 800mm expansion gap.
- Step 3: Installing Picomat wall cladding sheets
After spreading Titebond glue onto the surface of rails, fitting and securing all Picomat PVC Foam panels.
Using “H” trim to handle the panel joints for decorative effect.
